What is the Historic Walton House?
The Historic Walton House is a private, five-acre historic estate and garden wedding venue located in Homestead, Florida. Our unique property features a historic 1919 English-style cottage, lush tropical gardens, serene water features, and resident exotic wildlife for a truly one-of-a-kind celebration.
What is the maximum guest count for a wedding?
Our venue can comfortably accommodate celebrations with up to 150 guests.
Are there spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception?
Yes. Our estate offers multiple breathtaking locations for your garden ceremony, a beautiful setting by the lagoon for your cocktail hour, and our charming, air-conditioned Love Bird Stable for your dinner and reception. We also feature numerous open-air spaces that can be tailored for larger gatherings.
Is there a place for the wedding party to get ready?
Absolutely. Your package includes exclusive access to the private and elegant Bridal Suite located within the historic cottage, as well as a separate, comfortable area for the groom and their party to prepare.

What is included in your wedding package?
Our comprehensive package is designed for a seamless experience. It includes exclusive use of the five-acre estate, complete catering services from our premier partner (appetizers, main courses, sides, wedding cake), full bar service options, all essential rentals (tables, chairs, linens, tableware), and a professional team of waitstaff and bartenders.
Can I use my own vendors?
Yes, you are welcome to bring in your own licensed and insured vendors for services such as photography, videography, floral design, and entertainment (DJ/band). We are happy to provide a list of our trusted partners, but it is not required.
Is catering included?
Yes, to ensure the highest quality and a seamless experience, all catering services are an integral part of our wedding package and are provided by our exclusive culinary partner.
What about a tent?
Our air-conditioned Love Bird Stable serves as a beautiful, built-in weather plan for your reception for smaller gatherings. However, should you require a tent for a specific outdoor setup, tenting services are available for an additional fee if needed.
Logistics & Timing
What are the event hours?
All events must conclude by 11:00 PM.
How early can we and our vendors access the venue on the wedding day?
You and your vendor team will have access to the estate as early as 9:00 AM on the day of your event. This allows for a relaxed and stress-free timeline for setup and preparation. Vendors will have up to two hours to pick up after the event.
Do you have on-site parking?
Yes, valet parking service for your guests is included in our wedding package to ensure their convenience and safety upon arrival and departure.
Is the venue pet-friendly?
Yes! We are proud to be a pet-friendly venue and love when couples include their four-legged family members. Please speak with us for details on how to best incorporate your pet into your day.
